The Department of Personnel Services has developed career ladders to help you navigate the classification system as you plan your next career move to make a difference in the community we serve.
Career ladders identify the typical career progression though which employees can move from an entry level position in a series to positions with higher levels of compensation, skill, responsibility, and authority. These career ladders do not include every possible career path within Sacramento County, but rather those that offer typical career advancement.
